Ekranas Junior Chamber

An idea, related to the enrichment of work environment of young professionals at the AB EKRANAS, thanks to the several energetic specialists, was born in September, 2004. Several young specialists decided to establish a club of young professionals and managers, the activities of which shall motivate its members to work for the AB EKRANAS despite the efforts of the company’s management to develop loyalty of the young people to the company. The search of new means of self-expression, communication, contacts, connections among young specialists, eagerness of professional as well as personal development determined the aim to establish an Association of new specialists at the AB EKRANAS.

A group of 11 young specialists representing the AB EKRANAS attended a Constituent Assembly on 22 10 2004 and decided to establish an Association of young specialists which shall be known as Ekranas Junior Chamber and hereinafter shall be referred to as EJC by a unanimous vote.

The initiators of the Junior Association decided that this organization shall be affiliated with Junior Chamber International, hereinafter referred to as  "JCI", in order to strengthen the positions of the new organisation at the AB EKRANAS. The JCI is an international organisation that unites more than 200 000 active members and the purpose of JCI is to develop young leaders of the society and business. The affiliation with Junior Chamber International shall enable versatile opportunities to the members of Ekranas Junior Chamber on the company site and elsewhere as well.
