Our vision of the future is to become one of the leaders in Lithuania in the protection of environment.

For several years already our company has been implementing programs of noise reduction, elimination of hazardous materials, power resource saving, glass production pollution reduction, and other equally important ones. Every year, significantly financed environmental works created favourable conditions for implementation of  ISO 14001 management system.

In January year 2003 AB EKRANAS received the environmental certificate confirming compliance to ISO 14001 standard. The certification audit was performed and certificate conferred by Dutch company KEMA.

The company’s environmental policy, approved in 2002 provides for the most important principles to follow in business:

 ·         Propagate and seek business excellence applying the principles of harmonious development and total quality management, meeting customer statutory and regulatory requirements.

·         Assure constant renovation of technical potential and progress with minimal negative influence on environment and human by using long term investments.

·         Research customer needs and expectations and meet them; improve CPT and glass details design in accordance with the best samples of the world.

·         Constantly improve the quality of the materials and components collaborating with suppliers and analysing their quality systems.

·         Assure necessary employment, systematically training and motivation for qualitative work and become proud of the company. 

·         Improve the management, finance, quality, technology, supply and other processes and activities seeking the maximal efficiency.

·         Establish quality objectives at relevant functions and provide appropriate resources.

Security and health of workers

Accomplishing our duty to ensure safe and healthy working conditions in all the aspects, the services of medical and workers safety are operating successfully in our company, which execute a permanent preventive work trying to avoid accidents in work and professional diseases.

In the company the workers are instructed regularly and recommended in questions of workers safety and health, civil safety and fire-prevention.

In the company there is established a modern shelter of civil safety, for the workers’ safety in cases of extreme situations, which has an autonomous source of energy and it can accommodate 2,5 thousand of the workers.

One of the prevention means, allowing ensuring the workers safety and health – is a permanent monitoring of work environment chemical and physical factors. In the company this thing is accomplished by a recommended laboratory of work hygiene, which is supplied with all devices and equipment needed for that case.

Productive social dialog takes place between the administration of the enterprise and three professional unions. The results of such activities perfectly reflect themselves in the collective agreement and the plan of workers’ security and health improvement which are reviewed each year and confirmed in the conference of the collective. Social partners seeking to reach common goals successfully solves all problems in the committee of workers’ health and security which is made bilaterally, i.e. from equal numbers of members of administration and representatives of professional unions founded in the company.

Good workers’ household conditions – one of the factors helping to reach good work results. In order to maximally satisfy these needs of the workers, the company constantly invests into the household improvement and tries to make favorable conditions for work and rest.
