European Commission Has Begun Proceeding of Anti-dumping Case, Which Was Initiated by EKRANAS AB
Ekranas AB got official notice – Official Journal of the European Union (2006/C 6/02) on the 11th of January, reporting that European Comission (EC) is initiating anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of color picture tubes (CPT) originating in China, Korea, Malaysia and Thailand.
In October 2005 Ekranas AB, trying to fight against unfair competition, initiated application of anti-dumping measures to CPT producers from Southeastern Asia.
The interest of the Company is to show that different sizes of CPT originating in China, Korea, Malaysia and Thailand are being dumped in EU and to restore fair competinion in European Community market.
The delegates of EC visited Ekranas AB on the 10 – 11th of January. They collected information for anti-dumping case. During the proceeding will be decided whether the products concerned from Southeastern Asia are being dumped and whether this dumping has caused injury.
